We Elevated User Trust by Upgrading UI: Here's How

Tierra transformed Libry's outdated reporting UI into a sleek, modern modal enhancing user trust, UX consistency, and overall product quality.

How Libry's Report Function Got a UI Makeover That Quietly Builds User Trust

For platforms like Libry, trust is everything. As a creativity-centered app where users engage, share, and connect, creating a safe and intuitive experience isn’t just a feature it’s foundational. But in early user feedback, one small yet significant gap kept surfacing: the report feature. It looked and felt off. The original interface for reporting profiles or content wasn’t consistent with the rest of the UI, and more importantly, it didn’t meet modern expectations of clarity or comfort when flagging problematic content. Some users simply didn’t notice the feature at all.

Identifying the Mismatch

The Libry team received feedback that the report mechanism felt visually disconnected from the rest of the product. It didn’t inspire confidence or usability two vital ingredients when it comes to moderation tools. This was a UI blindspot. One that might seem minor on the surface, but can deeply affect perceived app quality, user trust, and ultimately, Net Promoter Score (NPS).

Building the Fix Fast

In collaboration with Tierra, the team quickly designed a modern modal interface that aligned with industry standards clean, focused, and familiar. Instead of reinventing the wheel, we focused on what works:

  • A floating modal with clear copy

  • Familiar patterns in spacing, iconography, and interaction

  • Light UI treatments to stay consistent with the rest of Libry’s minimal and elegant aesthetic

All built quickly, without compromising on quality.

Looking Ahead: Smarter Reporting in the Pipeline

While the current modal is a big leap forward, Libry isn’t stopping there.
Plans are already in motion to introduce a detailed comments field, allowing users to provide more context when reporting. For now, it’s in the backlog but it’s on the radar. As the product matures, so will its trust layer.

Small features shape big perceptions. A single modal redesign can quietly transform user trust and we treat it with the respect it deserves.
